through sports and leisure activities held mainly in schools and public places.
The Diocesan Commission for Sport will receive CVs and short proposals (maximum

ways of sharing the Gospel) can be included in a formation programme as an
evangelisation channel in children and youth ministry.
The ideal service provider must be in possession of:
• A tertiary level qualification (EQF Level 6 or higher) in Sport and Physical Activity
or a related field. A qualification in Theology would be considered an asset.
• Certificate in First Aid.
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in the field of sports and/or education.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in Maltese and English.
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Knowledge in the teaching of the Catholic Church.
• Clean driving licence and police conduct.
The service provider would be expected to offer his/her services as explained above
including the administrative work involved, mostly in schools or other public places, for
a number of fixed hours against payment.
Interested persons are to submit the following to info.kds@maltadiocese.org by not
later than 3 May 2024:
- A proposal (see above)
- A detailed CV
- A scanned copy of certificates
- Name and email address of two referees.
The Diocesan Commission for Sport may refuse the most advantageous and what
seems as the most promising offer.
Late submissions will not be considered.
Sport is a means to express one’s talents, but also to build society. Sport, in fact,
teaches us the value of fraternity. We are not islands: on the pitch, where a person
comes from, their language and culture do not matter. What counts is the commitment
and the common goal.” – Pope Francis, 2024.
